SUMMARY
Even in the most hostile of environments and conditions. Man’s
nature to extinct all that surrounds him for self-gain is his undoing.
Condemned to death by a truly horrifying illness, two children find
solace in the world that exists outside of them, by the offerings of
life seen through a window in a facility that contains them. One of
them, Romeo, explains what he sees to his companion, Juliet. But hearing
is not enough for Juliet who wants THE WINDOW all to herself –
no matter what the cost!
CAPSULE REVIEW
Made for just £120 and shot on a £69
pound 200-line resolution camera, this haunting and energetic short
shows many multi-million dollar how it should be done. Filmed in a disorientating
lilac tinted monochrome, it features dizzying camerawork and a genuine
atmosphere of unease that marks out director Rao as a talent to watch
for.
