Una Stubbs SUMMARY A London chimney sweep and his dog are fleeing an angry mob who wrongfully believe that he's stolen some silver when they fall into a pond. Underwater, they discover a race of water nymphs, the water babies. CAPSULE REVIEW Achingly dull blend of live action and animation that does no justice whatsoever to the source novel. The cast is interesting but wasted and Jeffries struggles to bring the whole thing to life. Even the animation, which represents the underwater society, is crude and unconvincing.
