PLOT SUMMARY

James Bond goes up against a megalomaniacal electronics magnate trying to create a worldwide monopoly on microchips by artificially inducing earthquakes along the San Andreas and Hayward faults, flooding Silicon Valley.

CAPSULE REVIEW

Appalling nonsense and just about as low as the James Bond series had sunk thus far. Moore looks ludicrous in the role by now and many of his on-screen appearances are actually taken by stuntmen who look only vaguely like him. Only Christopher Walken's deranged, genetically modified villain and Patrick MacNee's excellent turn as Bond's aristocratic sidekick make it even bearable.
