CAPSULE REVIEW

By far and away the worst of the initial / middle trilogy, this is a flashy, sprawling remake of the first film that has nothing new to say and instead wallows in sentimentality and forced cuteness. The Ewoks are the most transparent marketing ploy ever seen in a Hollywood movie and this installment's 'shock' revelation about who's related to who lacks the punch of the paternity revelation in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back [1980]. Utterly wet and hopeless. [Full Review]
