SUMMARY
In the 24th century, 78 years after the adventures of Captain James
T. Kirk and his crew, a new Enterprise has embarked on its ongoing mission
under the captaincy of Jean-Luc Picard. The crew of the Enterprise NCC
1701-D encounter all manner of aliens, monsters and space-time anomalies
as they explore the outer reaches of the galaxy.
CAPSULE REVIEW
At its peak, Next Generation was quite simply amazing.
Yes, it could be bland and, sure, there was often too much political
correctness for its own good. But the excellent performances from the
ensemble cast – with Stewart and Spiner in particular being outstanding
– excellent effect and some cracking scripts more than make up
for it. Frequently, quite brilliant.
