The comic misadventures of the Simpsons family (father Homer, mother Marge, son Bart, daughter Lisa and baby Maggie) and their oddball friends in the town of Springfield.

CAPSULE REVIEW

Where do you begin? A work of comic genius that many live action series can only aspire to emulating. Possessed of a genuine wit, able to dispense the sharpest satire and not afraid to indulge in some good old-fashioned knockabout, The Simpsons, even at its worst, is the funniest thing ever to come out of US network television. Though die-hard fans tend to bemoan an alleged decline in standards in later seasons, it has remained consistently funny, clever and daring. A television masterpiece.
