CAPSULE REVIEW

One of two televison movies made by producer Harry Alan Towers in South Africa with Lee and Macnee as Holmes and Watson engaged in cases in their twilight years (or golden years as the original publicity would have it). A few period cars and costumes do not an Edwardian ambience make and it would take a lot of CGI to make South Africa look like Vienna. Morgan Fairchild jars age and style wise with the old British thesps and the mystery is paper thin but lumbers on endlessly. Original video versions were considerably cut but the longer versions add little except length.
