CAPSULE REVIEW
Taken for what it is,
this is an admirable piece of work - it sets out to be a
no-nonsense adventure romp along the lines of a Saturday
morning serial and that's exactly what it achieves. There
are lots of monsters, an erupting volcano and lots of
daring escapes. It's no Jurassic Park
(1993), admittedly, and some of the performances are as
unconvincing as the rubber dinosaurs, but as brainless
family entertainment this and its predecessor, The
Land That Time Forgot (1975) are hard to beat.
