PLOT SUMMARY
Following the devastating outbreak of the rage virus, the last survivors
have been evacuated from Britain. Six months later, a group of Americans
arrive to get the country up and running again - but it's not as empty
as it seems...
CAPSULE REVIEW
28 Weeks Later is everything one could have hoped
for - a proper sequel, with big ideas and bigger guns, plenty of infected
action (they even behave more like actual zombies here, taking bites
out of everyone within each) and some likeable characters to root for
amid all the chaos. It's also, like the original commendably straight
faced, with no smirking humour or throwaway one liners to interrupt
the unremittingly grim ambience. All in all, a more than worthy follow-up
and one that should please fans of the original, though whether it will
win over any of the first film's detractors is doubtful. (Full
