PLOT SUMMARY

In the aftermath of a nuclear war, what's left of North American society has split into two rival factions, the evil Eurac and the Federation who are dedicated to overthrowing them. A mercenary named Parsifal is hired by the Federation to enter the ruins of Eurac controlled New York to track down the last woman on Earth capable of bearing a child.

CAPSULE REVIEW

The best of the Italian Escape From New York (1981) / Mad Max (1979) rip-offs, 2019 is dumb but unpretensious fun, with surprisingly ggod production values and some imaginative variations on the blueprints created by its inspirations. On the down side, the acting is as poor as you'd expect and some idiot let "Olive Onions" back in a recording studio again.Still worth a look though, if only for Luigi Montefiore's over-the-top performance as Big Ape.
