SUMMARY

There's trouble brewing in the Nine Kingdoms - the forthcoming coronation of Prince Wendel, Snow White's grandson, is threatened by an evil queen who has escaped from prison and turns the prince into a dog. Wendel uses a magic mirror to escape into the Tenth Kingdom, otherwise known as New York City - there he's pursued by trolls and befriended by Virginia and her father Tony who all journey back to the Nine Kingdoms hoping to restore Wendel to human form.

CAPSULE REVIEW

A very clever, funny and inventive take on traditional fairy-tales that occasionally lapses into cliché but more often than not plays against expectations. The witty script is acted to perfection by a strong cats, the effects are impressive and the pace never flags for a minute. A rare example of screen fantasy that actually works.
