CAPSULE REVIEW
A disappointing and confusing adaptation by Clive Barker of one of
his own novels. The fault lies squarely with the script which takes
for granted that viewers are familiar with the source novel and which
fails to explain many of the finer points of the plot to the uninitiated.
Only David Cronenberg's excellent performance offers any real
reward, while Barker's direction is at best workmanlike.
