PLOT SUMMARY

Newspapaer journalist Carl Kolchak investigates a series of gruesome murders of young women in Las Vegas – all of the bodies have been found drained of blood and Kolchak comes to believe that the killer might be a vampire. Of course, everyone thinks that he's insane and it's up to Kolchak to both prove them wrong and stop the killer before he strikes again.

CAPSULE REVIEW

One of the best genre TV movies of the 1970s which admirably overcomes the limitations of the medium thanks to a taut script from Matheson and creepy, atmospheric direction from Moxey. The cast is excellent and the brooding score is a plus too. Rightly regarded as a horror classic.
