PLOT SUMMARY
Metal Mickey is a robot built by youngster Ken Wilburforce to act
as a simple domestic labour-saving device for the rest of his large
family. But Mickey has magical control over electrical appliances
and his catchphrase of “Boogie Boogie!” has the rest of
the family dancing, leading to all kinds of unpredictable adventures.
CAPSULE REVIEW
A painfully bad sitcom aimed at children whose “leading man”
had debuted on the Saturday morning show The Saturday Banana
(1978). He was irritating enough there but in his own show,
he was plain unbearable. It seemed popular enough at the time (40
episodes were made) but now it's simply too embarrassing to
endure.
