SUMMARY

Former magician's assistant Corky decides to go out on his own but his first gig is a disaster. Hoping to improve his act, he acquires a ventriloquist's dummy named Fats and soon becomes hugely successful. But Fats has a mind of his own and is soon engaged in a battle of wills with Corky.
