PLOT SUMMARY
Four years after the
catastrophic events at Jurassic Park, Ian Malcolm finds
himself on 'Site B', a second island where the dinosaurs
were bred before being taken to Isla Nublar. He's gone in
search of his lover, Dr. Sarah Harding, who has gone to
the island ahead of him to help John Hammond document the
dinosaur population before his business rivals -
including his nephew who has taken over control of his
company - get there. But when Malcolm and his team
arrive, they find that they're too late and a group from
InGen are also there hoping to take some of the creatures
back to San Diego and a new Jurassic park...
CAPSULE REVIEW
A disappointing follow-up to Jurassic
Park (1993) that shares all of the original's faults
but none of its virtues. Irritating characters abound and it's all too
often a relief when they fall foul of the rampaging dinosaurs. There's
no longer the surprise of seeing the computer-generated dinosaurs -
which are admittedly very good - and instead we're forced to focus on
a script that simply doesn't hold water.
