PLOT SUMMARY

Clark Kent, a reporter at the Daily Planet in Metropolis, is secretly Superman, a fact he keeps hidden from his co-workers. But as he falls further in love with fellow reporter Lois Lane, his secret identity edges out into the open.

CAPSULE REVIEW

At first, this was a fun revision of the Superman legend, recasting the story as romantic comedy and making a rather good show of it. Sadly, a degree of campiness crept into later seasons and the show suffered as a consequence. The likeable lead actors helped and although it was fun overall, few of the individual episodes have proved memorable and many were alienated by the relative lack of Superman-related action (though to be fair the show was called Lois and Clark, not Superman).
