Dr Jekyll and Ms Hyde [1995]

Intended as a reunion of the stars of Ace Ventura-Pet Detective, this went from potential superhit to minimally-released loser when Jim Carrey realised that playing the male half of the title role would let Sean Young upstage him. He might also have noticed the lack of funny jokes in the script and just this once let it bother him. Tim Daly, the only member of the cast of Diner not to become a star, is the meek Jekyll descendant whose serum turns him into a predatory female executive who becomes a fast-track exec in a perfume company. There's a marginally funny bad taste gag about the multi-sexual Young's devastating effect on Harvey Fierstein, but otherwise this is mainly a set of excuses to dress Daly up in women's underwear and show off the CGI breast-sprouting effects.
