Boomerang (1992) Narcissist tosh from Eddie Murphy, who grins and smarms through a shallow
story about a stud who learns to respect women without ever losing his
self delighted smugness. Set in a cosmopolitan wish fulfilment world
populated by glamorous blacks and menial whites, this finds Reginald
Hudlin of House Party straining as he tries to keep Eddie's ego aloft,
barely squeezing a little humour in around the sides. Typical of the
Murphy approach is the way none of the attractive co stars Halle Berry,
Robin Givens, Eartha Kitt, Grace Jones get to show their faces on the
box cover. First Published In: Empire (issue unknown) Visit Kim's Official Website at www.johnnyalucard.com
