The Alien Agenda: Endangered Species (1996) Four near-homemade shorts loosely tied together by a backstory about a war between benevolent humanoids and the nasty 'greys', both alien races living on Earth and sucking various individuals into their conflict. None of the stories add up to much, and the film is constantly brought low by amateur devices like having a couple of characters wander around a deserted factory pointing guns and explaining the plot set-up to each other and the inclusion of time travel as a device doesn't really serve to smooth over the disjunctions in style and setting between the episodes. Considering the zero-budget nature of the enterprise, there are some quite ambitious effects involving robots, eaten eyeballs and a ravaged future swampland. Co-director-writer-producer-cinematographer Kevin J. Lindenmuth gets a 'creator' credit for devising the concept: he has also backed several similar sequels. First published in this form here.
