PLOT SUMMARY

In the near future metropolis of Megacity One, the law is upheld by the harsh and incorruptible Judges, combination police, jury and executioners. The greatest of all the Judges, Dredd, is falsely convicted of murder and exiled to the wastelands outside the city. With the help of another prisoner, Dredd sets out to clear his name and bring the real villains to book.

CAPSULE REVIEW

A terrible adaptation of the long-running and much-loved comic strip anti-hero that abandons much of what made the comic work so well and replaced it with the standard Hollywood action movie clichés. Stallone is terrible in the title role while much better actors like Jurgen Prochnow and Max von Sydow simply look embarrassed. Badly written, flatly directed and with uninspired design Judge Dredd is simply terrible in every respect.
