PLOT SUMMARY

Though apparently destroyed in a trap set by the military, Jason's evil presence lives on and skips from victim to victim allowing Jason to continue his murder spree. A bounty hunter teams up with Jason's sister and niece to finally lay the evil to rest once and for all.

CAPSULE REVIEW

A surprisingly strong latter day entry in the ongoing Friday the 13th series that utilises a clever plot twist to keep Jason alive even though dead. The opening sequence cleverly lampoons the whole Friday the 13th set-up (naked teen chooses an old cabin in the woods as the location for an impromptu shower only to turn out to be a military decoy!) and keeps on sending up its predecessors. There's even a nice closing gag that gives the fans of Jason and rival screen slasher Freddy Kreuger what they were waiting for - well, almost...
