SUMMARY

Consulting detective Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr John Watson travel to Dartmoor to investigate the mysterious death of Sir Charles Baskerville. They find that his heir, Sir Henry, may be about to fall foul of an ancient family curse involving a huge, spectral hound.

CAPSULE REVIEW

A surprisingly disappointing adaptation with Baker horribly miscast as Holmes. Baker simply plays the Great Detective as The Doctor (this was made immediately after he left Doctor Who (1963 - 1989)) and while that worked well in the Doctor Who story The Talons of Weng Chiang, it flops here. Usually, anything with Baker in it is worth a look, but this is simply depressing.
