PLOT SUMMARY
Twenty years after
Michael Myers escaped from psychiatric hospital and went
on a killing spree in Haddonfield, Illinois, his sister
Laurie Strode is trying to lead a normal life under a new
name having survived her brother's night of terror. But
now Michael is back and stalking Laurie and her teenaged
son John at his boarding school - and Laurie finally has
to stand up to her murderous brother once and for all...
CAPSULE REVIEW
A surprisingly good
late-in-the-day sequel that wisely ignores everything
from Halloween II (1981) onwards. Curtis is
excellent as the haunted Laurie Strode though the teenage
leads are as anoying as they always are in this sort of
thing. Director Steve Miner, a veteran of the Friday the 13th series, stages some effective
shock moments in a film that stands as a worthy successor
to John Carpenter's classic original.
