PLOT SUMMARY

Paul Edgecomb is a guard on Death row in the 1930's whose life is turned around by one of the prisoners. Eight foot tall John Coffey is brought in after being found guilty of the killing of two young children and seems to be afraid of the dark. But Edgecomb comes to believe that Coffey is not only innocent but that he may also have strange powers...
