Red Dwarf: The Inquisitor [1992] Country of

CONSTRUCTION MISCELLANEOUS STUNTS CASTING CAST The crew of the Red Dwarf meet the Inquistor, a deranged, time traveling simulant who survives until the end of time itself and decides that there is no God - the only purpose for existence is to simply live a worthwhile life. Driven mad by his loneliness, it sets out to judge every soul that ever existed and destroy all those who fail to meet its criteria for being worthy. When it runs across the Dwarfers, it has a field day, confronting each crewmember in turn and deciding that only Lister and Kryten are to face the chop - Cat and Rimmer are, by their own feeble standards, doing well for themselves while Lister and Kryten could have done so much more with their lives. With Lister and Rimmer now deleted from the timeline and replaced by alternatives that never had the chance of life, they have to race against time to destroy the Inquisitor before they are eradicated from reality for good. A huge improvement over the disappointing Holoship, this is a fun romp with plenty of great gags and a cleverly constructed plot. Neat plot twists keep the viewer guessing and a handful of continuity references [Lister talks about having taught Kryten to lie, there are references to Silicon Heaven and so on] would keep the fanboys quiet for a moment or two.
