SUMMARY

Dashing test pilot Ace Rimmer is testing a new dimension-hopping craft when he appears in our universe and promptly collides with Starbug, forcing it to crash-land. The heroic Ace rescues the crew and is an instant hit with the crew - except for Arnold Rimmer who can't stand his 'perfect' doppelganger.

CAPSULE REVIEW

Just when you think the show can't get any better, along comes Dimension Jump which gives Chris Barrie a chance to rewrite Rimmer in heroic mode, a chance he takes and attacks with some relish. His Ace Rimmer is a joy to behold and the effect he has on poor Arnold Rimmer's ego is predictable but hysterical. Thankfully, we hadn't seen the last of the marvelous Ace.
