Red Dwarf: Confidence and Paranoia [1988] [Series 1, Episode 5] Date of Original Broadcast: 14 March 1988 PRODUCTION SCRIPT DIRECTION PHOTOGRAPHY EDITING AND POST PRODUCTION MUSIC SOUND MAKE UP AND COSTUMES SPECIAL EFFECTS DESIGN AND SET CONSTRUCTION MISCELLANEOUS CAST Lister contracts a mystery illness while searching for the missing crew hologram disks and soon his hallucinations are taking on physical form. The personifications of his paranoia and confidence are soon walking the corridors of the Red Dwarf and, thanks to the latter, it looks like Lister might finally be reunited with Kochanski. But Rimmer has a sneaky trick up his sleeve... Another cracking episodes with fabulous performances from Lee Cornes as Lister's sniveling paranoia and Craig Ferguson as his smarmy confidence, who resembles a particularly obnoxious game show host. Rimmer is on top form here and the ending is unexpected and hilarious.
