PLOT SUMMARY
Professor George Challenger leads an expedition to a lost world in
South America. Taking with him Lord Roxton heiress Marguerite Krux
and skeptical scientist Professor Summerlee. But having escaped from
headhunters in a hot air balloon, they find himself stranded on a
remote plateau when a thunderstorm forces them to land. They meet
Veronica, a beautiful young woman who has lived on the plateau since
her parents disappeared when she was eleven years old. The explorers
are going to need all of Veronica's skills to survive this strange
