PLOT SUMMARY
While driving through
the English countryside en route to their holiday, the
Lewis family pick up a hitch-hiker in yellow oilskins.
Martin Lewis is attacked by the man, the car crashes and
Janet wakes to find herself in hospital. The hospital
staff know nothing of any any hitchhiker and a badly
injured Martin is recovering but doesn't seem to be his
usual self. Janet comes to believe that her husband has
been replaced by a doppelganger.
