PLOT SUMMARY
Samuel Holt drills a
hole in his head, claiming that he needs to release a
disease that he believes has been planted there by the
devil who has possessed him. Morgue attendant Edwin Rore
numbers Holt's body "9", then finds the number
turning up all the time in his every day life - he wins
£9 in a sweepstake, and is stitching wounds on a corpse
at a rate of 9 stitches every three inches when he pricks
his finger - has he contracted Holt's mysterious disease?
