PLOT SUMMARY
At various points in her life, The Doctor encounters a French woman,
Reinette, better known as Madame De Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV,
King of France. He comes to realise that she is being stalked by time-travelling
clockwork robots crewing a derelict spaceship in the 51st century -
but why?
CAPSULE REVIEW
Another winner from Stephen Moffat and a story quite unlike any other
tried beore in any incarnation of Doctor Who. Unashamedly
romantic, definitely very odd and at times completely ludicrous, Moffat
walks a treacherous tightrope but just about pulls it off. The chemistry
between off-screen lovers Tennant and Miles is wonderful, Rose and Mickey
make a great back-up team and the insistent ticking of the clockwork
villains is decidedly creepy.
