PLOT SUMMARY

Ghosts are roaming the Earth and everyone seems happy enough to be reunited with long lost loved ones. But The Doctor, Rose and Jackie find themselves inside Torchwood Tower, where something a mysterious sphere, which doesn't seem to exist at all, is being held in an underground laboratory - and its contents could mean the end of the world when some old enemies resurface...

CAPSULE REVIEW

An excellent start to the Season Two finale, with an intriguing set of mysteries for The Doctor and Rose to solve (though audiences are let into the Cyberman secret pretty early on), a solid proper introduction to Torchwood for the upcoming spin-off series, the return of Mickey and the best Doctor Who cliffhanger in many, many years. In retrospect it was probably wasn't that hard to guess what was inside the sphere but it was still an incredible shock when they poured out... Excellent performances all round and the sort of inventive, engaging direction we've come to expect from Graeme Harper.
