SUMMARY
The Doctor takes Rose on her first journey through time, to the year
5 Billion to watch the death of the Earth as the sun expands. But someone
is killing members of the alien races gathered there to share the end
of the world and it's to The Doctor to find out who.
CAPSULE REVIEW
Less hectic than Rose
and with a better balance of humour and action, The End of the
World is the first 'proper' new Doctor Who
story and it's a cracker. Witty dialogue, great effects, excellent performances
and some continuity-impacting revelations add up to a wonderful episode
that shows just where the production team are leading the show. Alternately
funny and deeply moving, this is just wonderful television.
