PLOT SUMMARY

The Doctor returns to the space station Nerva but thousands of years before their encounter with the Wirrn. It is currently a warning beacon for Jupiter's new moon, a planet of gold. Most of the Nerva's crew are dead and behind it are the Doctor's old enemies, the Cybermen.

CAPSULE REVIEW

Pertwee couldn't stand the Cybermen and never fought them (maybe they were too tied to his predecessor) but the producers felt big name villains should return to face the new Doctor. As a young man, this made me very happy. Now this is unwatchable tosh. The gold idea is silly, the Cybermen look fat and sound Irish and the design is cheap (the resetting on the space station was due to budgetary concerns).
