PLOT SUMMARY
On the planet Dido in
the late 25th Century, the remaining TARDIS crew find a
crashed Earth spaceship and help the two survivors, the
paralysed captain and a young girl named Vicki, who are
being menaced by an alien creature called Koquillion. But
is Koquillion really all that it appears to be?
CAPSULE REVIEW
After the high drama of The Dalek Invasion of
Earth, The
Rescue is a fairly inconsequential and
lightweight vehicle to introduce the TARDIS' new
crewmember. There's nothing particularly wrong with The
Rescue (it's well acted and as well made as any
other story of the period) but it's hardly the most
memorable of the good Doctor's adventures.
