CAPSULE REVIEW

Over-long but not without its merits. There's an awful lot going on in this first Who epic, which at least ensures that it's never dull, though some of the inconsistencies are rather glaring and it often feels disjointed. But the sheer number of aliens and the relentless bombardment of incident keeps viewers interest for most of the time.
