PLOT SUMMARY

Carroon's hand has now fused completely with a cactus he had in his hospital room and while raiding the chemists he is able to ingest medicine that would kill a normal man. Briscoe and Quatermass discover that the mysterious jelly-like substance can absorb all animal life. Meanwhile, a BBC outside broadcast unit at Westminster Abbey get the first glimpse of the horror that Carroon has mutated into.
