CAPSULE REVIEW

Not as funny as it could have been, there's still much to enjoy in The Curse of Fatal Death. Atkinson makes for a surprisingly good Doctor and Pryce is superb as The Master. Sawalha is so good that one can't help wonder how things would have turned out if she'd accepted the offer to play Ace opposite Sylvester McCoy's Doctor. A few neat one-liners and throwaway quips don't quite make up for the surfeit of tit and fart gags, but it's all done in the spirit of fun and charity and there have certainly been a lot worse crimes committed in the name of Doctor Who.
