PLOT SUMMARY
As his hi-tech electronics company prepares
to merge with a rival, Tom Sanders is dismayed to hear that his hoped
for promotion is being given instead to a female colleague, Meredith
Johnson who he'd briefly had an affair with many years before.
When she tries to resume their relationship, Sanders brings a charge
of sexual harassment against Johnson.
CAPSULE REVIEW
An obvious and unconvincing thriller with SF overtones. Blandly directed
and with a script that fails to do Crichton's novel justice,
it's a rather coy take on sexual harassment that simply isn't
as committed or as daring as it likes to think it is. The genre angle
is limited to a virtual reality McGuffin which is simply a techie
gimmick to help sell the story and adds nothing at all to the drama.
