SUMMARY

Dr Who and his traveling companions use his time machine, the TARDIS, to travel to the year 2150 where they find that the Earth has been overrun by the alien Daleks. The time travelers throw in their lot with a group of resistance fighters who battle the Daleks and their robomen slaves who are trying to plant a bomb at the Earth's core...

CAPSULE REVIEW

As with Dr Who and the Daleks, Who purists were disappointed by this liberty-taking remake of a classic TV story, but time has been kind to it and it now has some period charm. Cushing is excellent again, though the rest of the cast are fairly undistinguished. The Daleks are far less menacing here than they were on either TV or even in the first film though overall, this is the more enjoyable of the two films thanks to the frantic pacing, well-choreographed action scenes and well-realised vision of a future London in ruins.
