WIN GALACTICA 1980 THE COMPLETE SERIES on DVD!

THE EPIC JOURNEY FINALLY COMES TO AN END!

For the first time ever Galactica 1980 The Complete Series launches onto DVD on 18th February courtesy of Universal-Playback. Picking up thirty years after the events of the highly successful original Battlestar Galactica TV series, the fugitive star fleet Galactica finally reaches Earth.

In a distant part of the universe, a civilization of humans living on planets known as the Twelve Colonies have been at war with an alien cybernetic race, the Cylon empire, for a millennium. With the help of a human named Baltar, the Cylons launched a sudden attack on the Colonies, laying waste to the planets and devastating their populations.

The Battlestar Galactica, the only military ship that survived the attack, and its crew take up the task of leading the ragtag fugitive fleet of survivors into space in search of a fabled refuge known as Earth, the supposed thirteenth colony of Mankind, lost millennia ago when humans first left the motherworld, Kobol.

Upon reaching their destination they discover that Planet Earth in 1980 is not technologically advanced enough to help them battle the Cylons. Indeed, by coming to Earth, the Galactica has inadvertently exposed the helpless planet to attack by the android race bent on exterminating all humanity. The crew of the Galactica must now do whatever it takes to defeat the Cylons and save planet earth from destruction.

Containing all 10 action-packed episodes, Galactica 1980 The Complete Series (RRP: £15.99, cert PG) hits the shelves on 18th February and is the ultimate collector's item for modern day sci-fi enthusiasts and veterans of the original series.
