SUMMARY

Furry little monsters from space escape captivity and land on Earth to terrorise a small, mid-western town, eating everything in their path. They are pursued by a pair of bounty hunters and angry locals who decide that enough is enough and it's time to fight back.

CAPSULE REVIEW

As Gremlins [1984] begat the awful Ghoulies [1985], so Ghoulies begat this silly but fun space invaders piece about hairy aliens [sort of Tribbles with teeth] wreaking low budget mayhem. It's all very dumb and predictable, but there's a charm to it that's hard to resist. It lead to a series of increasingly annoying sequels.
