CAPSULE REVIEW

A quickly made cash-in on the success of Conan the Barbarian (1982) that takes a campier approach and suffers as a consequence. The fact that the script was written by two of the writers of Marvel Comics' version of the tale signals the lighter approach which is picked up by most of the cast who play it for laughs. Fans of sword and sorcery will still find much to be entertained by, but the rest of us will have a hard time making it through to the end.
