CAPSULE REVIEW

Never has one film been more confused with others. This is not the tale of a mad plastic surgeon and his travelling circus of murderers and beauties. That's Circus of Horrors (1960). This is not the one with Lee as the hooded leader of the grand guignol. That's Theatre of Death (1966). This is not the one with a middle aged Joan Crawford in a leotard. That's Beserk! (1968). This is actually a ho hum British police procedural/bank robbery gone wrong thriller. It aims to emulate the German krimi style. Lee is wasted. Kinski's hardly in it. Dull.
