PLOT SUMMARY
On Christmas Eve, the
miserly Scrooge is visited by three spirits, the Ghosts
of Christmas Past, Present and Future, who attempt to
teach him the error of his ways by showing him how he has
impacted on the lives of others. As Christmas Day dawns,
will they have been successful - will Scrooge have
learned his lesson?
CAPSULE REVIEW
Patrick Stewart
recreates his hit stage role in the best adaptation of
the Dickens novel since Alistair Sim took the role in
Scrooge (1951). Like a lot of Hallmark's productions,
it's perhaps a little too slick and glossy for its own
good, but it scores high on the feel-good factor and both
Stewart and Richard E. Grant are on excellent form.
