PLOT SUMMARY

When teenager Nathan commits suicide after mistakenly believing that the girl he loves has gone off with someone else, his grieving mother brings him back using an ancient book she steals from the local church. But Nathan returns as a zombie who is soon infecting everyone else in the surrounding area...

CAPSULE REVIEW

Though it has some serious problems - not least of which is the fact that the cast of school kids don't look a day under twenty - Boy Eats Girl is still harmless fun that moves at a fair old pace and has a few good gags. It's not going to change the way horror films are made (in the future it'll be lucky to even rate a footnote in the great history of the genre) and it's unlikely to do much for the international reputation of Irish cinema, but it does what it sets out to do and does so fairly inoffensively.
